The enemy of my enemy
We have to hand it to the January 6 committee. They have been flawless in everything they’ve done, from their spectacular roll-outs of information to their research, to the way they’ve conducted themselves. And their hearings have changed minds. We’ve seen that in the polls for ourselves.
And we also have to give some credit to Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. These two are Republicans. We’d never vote for them. But they have proven something to us. They have proven the enemy of our enemy is our friend. Again — neither of them will ever receive a vote from me in any election.
But they have been a huge help to us. And in a time where almost NO Republican is willing to do the right thing and come forward and be honest, it is good to see these two still have respect for the Constitution.
Both of them have been endorsing Democrats in the November midterms. Both of them have issued stark and dire warnings about the integrity of our elections should any Republican election denier win.
Cheney, in particular, has been out and about in the state of Arizona, campaigning hard against fanatic Kari Lake, who is running for Governor there.(We can’t let Lake win.) Cheney is doing a good job, too, in getting out the message of how awful it would be for any election denier and sedition supporter to win. These are two people who basically gave up their careers for the truth. We have got to honor that.
So, for now, the enemy of my enemy (Donald Trump and election denial) is my friend. For now. For now, these two are friends. That might not always be the case, but right now, they are proving themselves invaluable to our cause.
