The end of the Trump supporter
You know who we’ll never hear from again after this? Trump’s base. They were losers who had no interest in politics, and got involved solely because he made them feel like winners. He had that unique ability. No other Republican has that. Trump fans will just fade from politics.
Don’t believe me? Consider how much trouble Trump had getting his base to turn out for midterms and special elections where his name wasn’t on the ballot. They just wouldn’t do it. They never had any interest in politics beyond his cult of personality. Once he’s out, they’ll be out too. They were only in it for the perverse high that he was uniquely able to give them.
That’s why it’s such a ludicrous notion that after Donald Trump is out of office, he’ll somehow become a “kingmaker” for the Republican Party. Trump couldn’t even get other Republicans elected while he was in office. He’s somehow going to make it happen after he’s out office? That’s before getting to the fact that he’ll be busy fighting criminal charges for the rest of his life.
