The end of cable news as we know it
In the wake of an election that had catastrophic results, the ones who HELPED this election along, leading to the wrong candidate winning, are experiencing a bit of karma. How sweet it is.
As I reported the other day, the lamestream media has lost A LOT of viewers. Since then, though, it’s gotten even worse. The turning off of all things cable news has become a movement.
“Will never watch again.” Oh dear. What say you, toxic media? It is sweet indeed, sweet as a summer cup of lemonade, to see the ratings disappearing in a puff of BLUE smoke as activists everywhere abandon the pathetic media, leaving empty shells of not-so-good times past in place.
CNN is again at the bottom of the barrel. They actually came in third among the three cable networks on election night. Maybe that’s because they’re about as exciting as sitting in a dentist’s chair waiting for a root canal.
And MSNBC? It’s lost at least half of its viewers. It’s a ratings wipeout of epic proportions.
“You failed us.”
I am seeing this kind of thing ALL OVER. The media is getting a good touch of Karma.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again—Karma never sleeps, and the media are realizing that.
“You betrayed us. You sane-washed him.”
The mainstream media — most of them — have become out of touch, enabling fascists, and utterly irrelevant, which might explain why they barely have any viewers to speak of these days.
Hear the laughter? That’s karma doing cartwheels.
It is their fault, of course. What did they expect? That we’d eagerly run to our televisions every night to hang on their words, nof our heads sagely at whatever bullshit they decided to manufacture this week?
No—we’re done. We’re done with the media barking at the moon, focusing on the wrong things all the time, and cheerfully kicking aside items of importance as they elevate things nobody cares about.
“Mad as hell.”
Yeah, we are, and we are NOT going to take it anymore. These players in the Trump-fawning lands have a lot to answer for.
Now they’re continuing their barking, but nobody wants to hear it. People—viewers—have unwound themselves from the leashes and decided to let the bloodhounds run free. The only problem for the bloodhounds is that nobody seems to be there anymore to watch their tricks.
