The Blue Line
This is the time when we summon our inner strength and pour ourselves into the midterms. We have only a short time left. So let’s try not to let distractions take hold.
I’m guilty of it myself. I was infuriated by the coverage of some pundits on the Fetterman/Oz debate. But I did turn it off fairly quickly.
It’s so easy to give to distractions. And they’re everywhere. Internet trolls. Insidious pundits. Blaring fake news headlines. Gloating Maga swamp creatures.
But concentration is the key. We have to leap into the Blue with all our might. Let’s keep a picture of that blue wave imprinted on our minds because we can do this.
Phone banking is more important now than ever. And not just up to the election. Phone banking on the day of the election is also valuable.
Once when I was phone banking many years ago, on Election day, I found an elderly woman in Nevada who desperately wanted to vote but had no ride. I connected her to a company in Las Vegas that drives people to the polls. And she was able to vote.
There will be people on election day who do not have rides, whose rides don’t show up, and people who forget to make a plan.
Phone banking ON election day is a whole lot of fun! So if any of you can — please make that extra effort to do so. You will likely be able to help some people get to the polls that way.
And if phone banking isn’t your thing, there are countless other ways to help and numerous races to get involved in. All the candidates need our help now. I am making some donations right after I finish this article. I am leaping into the Blue.
Just keep that magnificent omnipresent blue wave in mind. And let’s bring it home these last days– bring it home for America by leaping into the Blue with all our hearts.
