The blowback is underway
1,600 a minute! That’s what Senator Lisa Murkowski and others on Capitol Hill say is happening to their Washington, DC, telephone lines. Yep. The phones are blowing up with angry and extremely confused voters wondering what the heck is going on in the rumpty–dump -Trump administration.
Usually, these phone lines get 42 or so calls per minute. That is not such a high number. But not now. Now they will not stop ringing. The phone lines have reached almost maximum capacity, throwing more chaos and confusion into the topsy-turvy Merry go round that is Capitol Hill. And it shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.
You really can’t blame people, though. With Elon Musk trying his best to raid the cookie jar, with egg prices skyrocketing, with Trump wanting to possibly put boots on the ground in Gaza, people are scared and want answers. So they’re turning to where people usually turn to get those answers: the politicians themselves.
They may have to wait a while when it comes to these REPUBLICAN politicians. That’s because Republicans’ fear of actually TALKING to their voters, of addressing the voters’ concern is thicker than fog on Mount Everest.
You see, there is NO WAY in heck these chicken littles want to face their voters and tell them what’s going on. The reason Republicans do not want to do that, is because they don’t KNOW what’s going on.
