The big takeaway from the chaos

Sadomasochist relationships are dysfunctional. Republican leaders are performative sadists, while their base and the media are masochists. Democrats are not masochists, which is why we are increasingly rejecting the doomsday hysteria.

This election cycle is a misinformation war. By attacking Biden, the media and pundits are engaging in voter disenfranchisement and election interference. So, many on the Left have simply stopped giving oxygen to the attempts to steal the candidacy from President Biden. 14 million Democrats voted for him in the primaries. He is our candidate. End of story.

And our rejection of these false narratives is working. This week, the New York Times Editorial board published a scathing attack denouncing not only Trump but the Republican Party stating in no uncertain terms “anyone but Trump” should be elected. That is an implied endorsement of President Biden. Then the New York Times published an op-ed by Bernie Sanders fully endorsing President Biden.

Many independent news sources have done amazing work, picking up the slack and refocusing the message on the stark difference between Biden and Trump. Meidas Touch released this video compilation that brilliantly contrasts two of the latest Biden and Trump speeches. And of course the enduring voice of reason, Palmer Report.

Biden’s approach has been to do his job, traveling the world, making powerful public speeches, getting bipartisan bills passed, until the latest uproar peters out, and a new one begins. Just as Biden started rebounding after an insane two weeks of fake alarm bells by the press over the debate, a shooting incident happened at Trump’s Pennsylvania rally.

Biden and elected Democrats responded with compassion and condemning violence, while Republicans turned the shooting into unhinged false accusations inciting more violence. With class and true leadership, Biden paused his campaign ads out of respect. Trump immediately sent out campaign fundraising emails.

As details emerge, we have learned that the shooter was a 20-year-old registered Republican who voted in the latest Republican primary and a gun enthusiast. For all we know, this was another mass shooter and Trump wasn’t even the target. But 100% of pundits and the media are assuming it was an assassination attempt.

Whatever the truth, we must stay focused to break through the noise and chaos to reelect Biden, take back the House, and keep the Senate. Democrats have a strong platform and proven successes. Bidenomics is working, inflation fell in June for the first time since May 2020. The Dow hit an all-time high…again. No savvy investor in their right mind would vote for Trump who would tank this burgeoning economy.

So, if you’re shouting imaginary problems with no solutions, YOU are the problem. Let the masochists keep punching themselves in the face. Focus on the prize.
