President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris took office today, which means the Biden-Harris changeover on Twitter has now taken place. The @POTUS account now belongs to Joe Biden. The @VP account now belongs to Kamala Harris. The @WhiteHouse account is now controlled by the Biden administration. There’s more.
The @FLOTUS account is now in the hands of Dr. Jill Biden. A new @SecondGentleman account is now in the hands of Doug Emhoff. The @PressSec account is now controlled by Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
Notably, Donald T***p has now lost his last bit of a presence on Twitter. Even after his personal account and campaign accounts were permanently banned, he still had the ability to post tweets on the @POTUS and @WhiteHouse accounts, though Twitter appeared to be closely regulating his tweets on those accounts near the end. In any case, it’s yet another sign that we’re returning to having a respectable government.
