“The best is yet to come!”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

A new year is hurtling toward us. Many have become reflective, looking back at the past year as a new one arrives. It seems incredible, doesn’t it? Soon it will be a year since we toppled the crazy! It will be one year since Trump was President.

And so much has happened this year. And there is so much waiting to happen in 2022. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to make more phone calls, do more activism, do anything I can to help the Democratic party keep its power.

We will be successful if we can all pull together and reach scores of people with our activism. And if we are successful, 2022 will possibly be our year to shine. And please remember we are all in this together. The readers of Palmer Report — all of you — are amazing. You know how to fight.

And on New Year’s Eve, as we laugh and eat and sip our drink of choice –whether that be cider or wine – we all remain united — all of us. All democrats fighting for a better future are united. Many of us may never meet, but we share certain characteristics.

We are passionate about politics. We are fierce advocates for justice and social change. And we are all fighters. There is a bond among all of us that runs strong and can’t be broken.

And as we gear up to fight yet another day, let’s take some time to take a victory lap and think about how much better the country is now that President Biden is running it. Let’s also think of how much better off we all are and will continue to be as long as we retain and never lose our passion for activism.
