The bell is tolling

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The bell is tolling, and if we keep it up, we will be the winners in the midterms. And good news always helps. A survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that Democrats are more motivated to vote than ever! And it finds that a primary reason for the enthusiasm is the subject of abortion.

Game Changer! More than half of the Democrat-leaning respondents said abortion was a significant issue. These respondents also said it makes them MORE motivated than in previous elections. The number of people who say abortion is a primary motivating factor keeps increasing.

When the question was asked in May, just 30% said it was the primary motivator. Then in July, that number went up to 43%. See a pattern? And now it is over half. This shows that the subject of abortion has NOT peaked. On the contrary, enthusiasm is going UP — not down.

And that is good. From the beginning, we said abortion would be front and center, and it appears it is. One voter had this today about abortion and voter enthusiasm: “Because women’s rights are being threatened now more than ever, and I’ll be damned if I stand by and let that happen,” she said.

That voter is from Alabama. All over, the momentum is with us. All over, the rising has begun. The rising of women — very angry and spirited women. So, in the remaining few weeks, it’s offense, offense, offense! Let’s continue to get out the vote and continue the rising. We do that, and the whole smorgasbord is ours.
