The Alina Habba story just got even weirder tonight

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. On Monday the E. Jean Carroll trial ended up being postponed after a juror felt sick and Donald Trump’s attorney Alina Habba also said she felt sick. Habba raised eyebrows when she claimed that she’d recently been with her parents, who had since tested positive for COVID. If she was exposed to COVID and she was feeling ill, what was she doing in the courtroom to begin with on Monday? Also, wouldn’t that mean that she exposed Trump to COVID by sitting next to him in the courtroom?

Now it turns out Alina Habba was with the Trump campaign in New Hampshire tonight – barely more than a day after she told a judge that she’d been exposed to COVID and was feeling ill. Wait a minute now. Was she miraculously feeling so much better after just one day that she was able to travel to another state and attend a campaign event?

This raises some questions, and it could end up becoming relevant in the ongoing trial. If Habba really was feeling ill after being exposed to COVID and she decided to go out and risk exposing Trump’s people to COVID, that would be irresponsible, but it wouldn’t be within the judge’s purview. But if it turns out Habba wasn’t being truthful when he claimed she was exposed to COVID and feeling ill, the judge could decide to have a problem with that. We’ll see what happens when the trial resumes, but this is just weird.
