The 2024 Republican cupboard is looking awfully bare
The state of Iowa is ready, willing, and able to welcome republican presidential contenders with open arms. There is just one problem. Hardly any of them have declared candidacies yet. Poor republicans. It seems many are too scared to throw their hats in the ring.
So far, it’s Trump, Nikki Haley, and an antiwoke quack by the name of Vivek Ramaswamy whom few will vote for. Where is Tim Scott? Where is Mike Pompeo? Will all the republican presidential candidates please stand up?
But few are standing. Instead, they seem to be in hibernation, perhaps waiting for Trump to be carted off to prison before they announce. The GOP is so easy to read. Even after all this, they’re still too scared to denounce Trump. So they hope Bragg will do it for them. But they need to understand Trump may try to take them down by running as a third-party candidate even if he doesn’t get the nomination.
So the fields of Iowa seem empty these days as one or two somewhat dazed republicans show up briefly, looking more like space aliens than stately presidential candidates.
It’s all because the cat has their tongues. They are afraid of the Donald. And that shows what type of presidents these cowards will be. How can one stare down another country — maybe an enemy country when they can’t even stare down an American traitor?
