Too late, Donald Trump, that ship has already sailed
As part of Donald Trump’s ongoing attempt at closing the stable door after the horse has already left the barn, he held a truly bizarre press conference today in which he congratulated himself on his coronavirus response, told off a reporter, and stupidly shook hands with a bunch of people.
Now Donald Trump has something new to say this evening:
At my request, effective midnight tonight, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and MSC have all agreed to suspend outbound cruises for thirty days. It is a great and important industry – it will be kept that way!

Okay, fine. But if this move was necessary, why didn’t he do it before today? And are we really supposed to believe that Donald Trump showed any leadership by asking them not to sail? Our guess is the cruise ships decided to pull the plug themselves, and when they notified the Trump regime of this, Trump decided to take credit for something that was happening anyway.
