Thanks Ginni Thomas for screwing up and handing us leverage!
I just want to thank Ginni Thomas for unwittingly handing us a huge messaging advantage in the midterms and maybe even another Supreme Court seat. She’s a complete moron, a unhinged conspiracy theorist whack job, and it was a matter of time before she screwed up in a way that handed our side leverage.
If you want to win political battles, this is how you have to look at these things. We already know who Ginni Thomas is. We already know how hideously corrupt the other side is. There’s no point in sitting around and lamenting over news like this, as if it’s some shock. When someone like her finally screws up and hands us leverage like this, we have to celebrate it, and use it against the other side.
The 2020 midterms just became about the fact that a sitting Supreme Court Justice voted to cover up evidence that his spouse criminally conspired with Donald Trump’s White House Chief of Staff to try to overthrow the government of the United States. This election is now a referendum on not just the criminality of Trump, but the unsuitability of Thomas, and the Republican Party that’s spent years abetting them both.
No political battle will ever be won, or will ever be won, by sitting around lamenting over how awful the other side is. But if we use this Ginni Thomas scandal to convince voters in the middle that it’s a valid reason to show up and vote for our side, then we can win, and things can get better. In that sense, we should thank Ginni Thomas for finally getting sloppy enough with her far right extremist antics, we can use it against her party in the upcoming election cycle.
