Thank you Kamala Harris and Joe Biden!

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The hourglass is getting extremely low, as voting tabulations will begin soon. Let’s take a look at how the two campaigns have chosen to close out their campaigns. The Harris campaign has closed with — roses. Roses in November! Roses every day when we win. The Harris campaign has brought back the message of joy. What goes around certainly comes around, and so she ends her magnificent campaign with the theme of joy.

Roses are frequent pieces of joy. For whom does not feel joy inhaling the intoxicating scent of the colorful rose? Women voters. The Harris campaign has been fantastic in its efforts to encourage ALL voters to get to the polls. But one thing is sure: If—no—WHEN—we win, it will be because of legions of pissed-off women who realize they have the power of choice in this election.

The data we have to work with shows women voters outvoting men. The data also shows Trump’s support has gone soft in many red states. Kamala’s message has broken through, stirred people to get off their couches and vote, vote, vote, and inspired people to pick the rose and not the thorn.

Now, let’s look at the closing message of the trump campaign. Donald Trump, in the space of a few days, has descended into meathead territory. His closing messages include musing about fighting Liz Cheney, wanting to slap Michelle Obama, screaming about how he’s winning though it is apparent he’s losing, and seeing his odds tumble downward in many a poll and betting market.

So, as we prepare for the end and hope for a HAPPY ending, let’s take a moment to give thanks. Thank you to President Biden, the most empathetic, wise, gentle man, a survivor who wears his morality with pride, a man comfortable in his skin, who imparts wisdom, kindness, and a lack of ego.

Let’s also thank Kamala. The Harris/Walz ticket has been one of the most brilliant, most flawlessly run campaigns of this writer’s lifetime.

It has revolutionized the political arena, educated people on new ways a campaign can work. It has made history. It has been its own vessel — a vessel of human decency showing us that this country is ready for a rose, prepared for the FIRST-EVER woman President, a wonderful, laughing, brilliant woman whose petals burst only with love, never with the omnipresent rage of her competitor.
