Donald Trump is “terrified” of what comes next

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We’re five days away from an election that will decide whether Donald Trump gets a free pass for his deranged behavior and crimes, or if he’s placed on a path toward ouster and prison. If people actually turn out to vote Democrat in the expected numbers, the Democrats will take the House, and Trump will be facing the worst period of his life. The question, of course, is whether the ever-delusional Trump understands this. The answer, apparently, is yes.

Tony Schwartz was the ghostwriter for Donald Trump’s book Art Of The Deal, so he has an insider’s view of how Trump’s damaged mind works. Here’s how Schwartz is interpreting Trump’s recent behavior: “I hear a desperation in Trump’s comments & tweets. He’s lashing out in every direction, stoking fear & telling lies at a whole new level. It’s because he’s terrified about what will happen if the Democrats win back Congress. This must happen.”

Palmer Report’s view is that Trump is acting out in increasingly deranged fashion because he does have the expectation that he may be about to begin losing everything. Recently we wrote this, which we believe dovetails with Schwartz’s belief that Trump is running scared as the clock ticks down:

“Donald Trump seems to be treating his increasingly precarious situation like he’s the Joker out of the Dark Knight movie. Trump held a rally just hours after the shooting, and used it to make jokes about how his hair had gotten messed up. Trump told reporters today that he thinks George Soros really is funding the caravan in Central America. We’ve all seen several other examples over the past few days. Trump is acting unusually psychotic, even by the usual psychotic Trump standards.”
