Ted Lieu rips Jared Kushner a new one

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

In year-plus since the Trump family illegitimately seized control of the White House, Jared Kushner and Donald Trump have seemingly been in a race to see who could out-corrupt the other. Of particular concern has been Kushner’s close friendship with the dangerously out of control Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, who now appears to have led to the murder of a Washington Post writer.

For as long as Jared Kushner has been abusing his position in the Trump White House to run roughshod over democracy, Democratic Congressman Ted Lieu has been exposing him for it. Now that Kushner’s antics with Saudi Arabia have become newly relevant, Lieu is once again taking aim. Congressman Lieu tweeted this: “Jared Kushner has been promoting the Saudis and their new ruler despite skepticism from US national security officials. It’s been awhile, but I think it’s time to ask again: Why does Jared Kushner have a security clearance?”

Meanwhile the situation with Saudi Arabia continues to get uglier. The Turkish government is now telling major American news outlets that it has audio and video recordings of Jamal Khashoggi’s murder at the hands of Saudi Arabian officials. Donald Trump has taken Saudi Arabia’s side whenever reporters have asked him about the disturbing situation, and – as per usual – Jared Kushner is saying nothing. Come to think of it, why does he have a security clearance?
