Ted Lieu drops the hammer
New statistical analysis suggests that Donald Trump didn’t just lose in 2020 because of turnout, but also because he and his Republican Party are losing touch with the voters in the middle. This comes even as the Republicans try to make it harder for everyone to vote who isn’t in their core demographic.
Congressman Ted Lieu reacted to this news by dropping the hammer on the Republicans: “Democrats will hold the House and Senate in 2022. Swing voters are much more concerned about getting stimulus checks, unemployment benefits and small business loans then they are about private sector and free market decisions regarding Dr. Seuss and Potato Head.”
Then some fringe leftist responded to Congressman Lieu, falsely accusing him and the Democrats of “watering down” the COVID relief bill. Lieu then dropped the hammer on that nonsense as well: “Wrong. The $1.9 trillion in funding the House passed is essentially still $1.9 trillion. For example, the cost savings from the Senate modifications were used to provide tax free unemployment benefits for first $10.2k, as well as tax free student loan forgiveness & 100% COBRA.”
