Donald Trump makes total panic move with Ted Cruz and Tom Cotton

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

In the wake of his military scandal, and his admission on tape that he was lying to the American people about the coronavirus from the start, Donald Trump is in full blown panic mode. With just fifty-five days to go until the election, Trump now has to worry that even Republicans in the House and Senate might conclude he’s going to lose, and selfishly throw him under the bus in the hope of preserving their own future political capital.

So now Trump is making a panic move aimed at preventing Senate Republicans from abandoning him: he’s announced that he’s considering putting several of them on the Supreme Court if any vacancies open up. Three in particular: Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton, all of them deranged far-right extremist loons whose views have nothing in common with the Constitution or America.

Trump appears to believe that this move will make Senate Republicans less likely to abandon him in the coming weeks. And maybe he’s right. But the thing is, these Senators – Cruz and Cotton in particular – are nationally known for being creepy extremist weirdos.

Trump just handed Joe Biden and the Democrats the opportunity to start running TV ads that a vote for Donald Trump in 2020 is a vote for sick deranged wacko Ted Cruz to be on the Supreme Court for life. This is a gift. Trump just made it easier to defeat him. Panic moves tend to have a very low success rate, and this is no exception.
