Ted Cruz steps in it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

“Slacker Baristas.” That is what Rafael (Ted) Cruz is calling the students that President Biden just helped by getting rid of some student debt. This is not a surprise. This is Rafael we’re talking about. And everyone knows his horror surfaces when politicians actually try to HELP people.

Rafael, on Friday, during his podcast, lashed out at President Biden and the Democrats for doing something wonderful. “If you are that slacker barista,” Rafael smirked, “who wasted seven years in college studying completely useless things, now has loans and can’t get a job — Joe Biden just gave you 20 grand.”

I have a request for Rafael, and I will phrase it as gently and kindly as possible. Rafael — please shut the heck up. I am not going to quote any more of what Rafael had to say. But I would like to answer him.

Darling Rafael — please, oh please, stop your groveling. You will never be President, Rafael. The world hates you. Most of your own colleagues despise you. You are the real slacker. You sit on Twitter and host podcasts that very few listen to. When do you actually WORK?

And as for those “slackers” you speak about? Are you speaking about the terrific woman at the major university doing great work for them? Perhaps you’re referring to that brilliant man who has worked with survivors of mass shootings. Or that Social worker who helps those with learning disabilities.

Perhaps you mean that fantastic Insurance representative who helped flood victims find the right insurance plan? These are friends of MINE Rafael. All of these talented people mentioned exist and had student loans. And so do millions upon millions more.

All over America, there are brilliant and creative minds (something you would not understand) weighed down by debt who now have a shot at getting out from under it.

Leave your privilege at the door, Rafael. And please stop talking about things of which you know nothing. And lastly? Grow a pair, Rafael. Grow a pair and maybe stand up for your wife and your father, who your SLACKER messiah insulted. Grow a pair, Rafael — and please make it soon.
