Ted Cruz screws up and starts promoting Raphael Warnock during Herschel Waker rally

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We all know that Herschel “I am a cop” Walker is a terrible candidate. In fact, he might just be the worst candidate the GOP has ever run other than Donald Trump. So ask yourselves this: Just who would humiliate themselves actually campaigning for Walker?

If you guessed Ted Cruz, congratulations. You know your political masochists well. So yes, our Ted Cruz DID in fact campaign for Officer Walker. And perhaps he should not have done so because, amid the campaigning, he made a horrible mistake.

Call it a slip of the tongue, call it what you will — but Ted, never one to be out of the spotlight for too long, wound up making a fool of himself as usual. This is becoming a weekly event.

Appearing at a Herschel Walker rally (shudder), Ted did his best to hype up Walker. And screwed up royally. You see, Ted developed a sudden case of amnesia. Perhaps the Herschel virus is rubbing off on Ted. Perhaps he just had a moment of brain fog because Ted announced his support for — Democratic senator Raphael Warnock. I kid you not.

“I want you to think of the ads Raphael Warnock is running,” a beaming Cruz started off. “Well, you know,” he continued. “He’s running ads all over Georgia saying well you know, I teamed up with Ted Cruz…..”

Silence. The silence was undoubtedly because Ted just realized, to his horror, that he’d announced his support for the wrong candidate — Warnock. Even worse, he said they “teamed up” together. Oh, dear. What’s Ted to do? Start over.

Only he could NOT start over — because, as it turned out, Warnock and Cruz really DID briefly work together on an amendment to the infrastructure bill.

So Ted just stood there for a moment, obviously confused and not knowing what to do. I definitely think he caught the Herschel virus.

So Ted made a split decision — act like nothing happened and continue flattering WARNOCK — not Walker. “It was the Cruz-Warnock ” bill. I introduced it. I wrote it, He joined on board, and we passed it!”

The crowd who was there for WALKER became very bewildered. In fact, they became , so bewildered everyone fell silent, no doubt wondering if Raphael was coming out as a Democrat.
