Ted Cruz flames out
Ted Cruz is morally and factually in the wrong on every single political issue, but he sure does love trying to pretend his depraved position is somehow the high ground. Cruz is at it again, this time trying to deflect from his own felony insurrection.
Ted Cruz tweeted this today: “Things the Senate should be focusing on instead of Democrats’ impeachment: -Passing #COVID relief. -Reopening our economy. -Getting our kids back at schools.”
There are a number of falsehoods contained in his tweet. First, the Democrats are in fact leading the way on all of these issues, while also impeaching Trump, even as the Republicans are trying to obstruct all of the above. Also, Cruz is afraid of Trump’s impeachment trial because it’ll serve as a reminder to the American public that Cruz also played a criminal role in inciting the U.S. Capitol domestic terrorist attack.
