Ted Cruz apparently caught lying about his Cancun return date

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Earlier today we brought you the news that when Ted Cruz flew to Cancun yesterday, he attempted to divert Houston Police Department resources in the process. We also pointed out that while Cruz is now claiming he only ever intended to accompany his family to Cancun before immediately returning home, his giant suitcase at the Houston airport yesterday suggested that he was lying. Now there’s apparent confirmation of this.

Edward Russell, an airline reporter for travel site Skift, has tweeted this: “Spoke to a source at United Airlines, Senator Ted Cruz rebooked his flight back to Houston from Cancun for this afternoon at around 6 a.m. today (Thursday). He was originally scheduled to return on Saturday.”

If this proves true, it means that Ted Cruz is in fact lying about having intended all along to immediately return from Cancun, and that he only flew home today in an attempt at minimizing the impact of the scandal. Cruz was already facing scandal due to his role in inciting the Capitol insurrection. Now he has this Cancun scandal as well, which may particularly hit home with Texas voters who have been trying to stay alive in frozen homes while Cruz was running off on vacation and lying about it.
