Donald Trump goes completely berserk about Joe Biden’s “team of killers”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Because he accidentally won in 2016 after James Comey wrote a last minute letter that upended the entire election, there’s been a perception that Donald Trump somehow knows what he’s doing when it comes to campaigning. The factual reality is that he does not. His messaging has never reached a wide enough base. He campaigns and spends in the wrong states. Incompetent sycophants run his campaigns. He’s not even particularly good at cheating, as his collusion with Russia in 2016 wouldn’t have been enough to put him over the top if not for Comey’s letter.

So it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that his 2020 campaign is in even worse shape than his 2016 campaign was. It’s being run by some of the same incompetent stooges, along with some new and even more incompetent stooges. And after three and a half years of everyone seeing just how horribly inept and unfit he is in office, these idiots have an even harder job of trying to prop Trump up.

Yet Trump just recently seems to have figured out that he’s losing. The reality is that he’s been losing all along; at no point have his poll numbers or approval rating had him anywhere near contention for 2020. But this is a new reality for him. Now he’s privately going berserk about it, as the New York Times says that he’s been complaining to his confidantes that “Biden has a team of killers and all I’ve got is a defense.”

Donald Trump is, astonishingly, right. Joe Biden put together a core campaign team that helped him win a crowded and talented 2020 Democratic primary race on a small budget. Biden has since hired a number of highly respectable people to augment his team. Just as importantly, Biden also has a “team of killers” when it comes to his allies and surrogates, with most of the Democratic field now campaigning for him.

Of course this brings us back to the question of whether we’re better off with Donald Trump not knowing he’s losing, and thus sticking to his losing game plan, or Trump knowing he’s losing, and perhaps going completely bonkers about it and ruining his chances even further. Either way, Trump is more than a little upset about the fact that he’s currently getting his butt kicked.
