Talk about a one two punch

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

One of the definitive moments of what was otherwise a typical vice presidential debate (none of them really count for much), was when JD Vance refused to acknowledge that Donald Trump lost the election and desperately tried to back out of it. He even went so far as to suggest that the former guy peacefully gave up power, when we’ve seen him continue to deny that he lost the election. Of course, this is going to resurface quite often in soundbite after soundbite when commercials come out, but it also happened at a fairly inopportune time for both Trump and Vance.

On Wednesday, Jack Smith issued a court filing that showed evidence that Trump knew he lost and that he sought to intimidate Mike Pence anyway – even shrugging off an unnamed aide who warned Trump that Pence’s life was potentially in danger after he refused to count the fake electors when Congress certified the election on Jan 6, 2021. It’s just the beginning of October but now we know that Smith has some devastating evidence against Donald Trump of his involvement in a crime that should disqualify him from ever holding the presidency again. It’s past time to hold him accountable. The only way to do that is to elect Kamala Harris on Nov 5 and give her a Democratic trifecta to govern – make sure Trump loses the election and his subsequent November court case.
