Take that, Donald Trump!

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is now being investigated for violations of the espionage act. Let THAT one sink in. Espionage is defined as “the practice of spying or of using spies, typically by governments to obtain political and military information.”

The Espionage Act was enacted by Congress in 1917 and came about during the first world war:

“The Espionage Act of 1917 is a United States federal law.”

“It was originally found in Title 50 of the U.S. Code but is now found under Title 18.”

Penalties and punishment could be either fines or a (long) prison sentence.

18 U.S.C. 1361 — Government Property or Contracts.

“This would apply to anyone who willfully injures or commits any depredation against any property of the United States, or of any department or agency thereof.”

In other words — this is really serious stuff. There is still so much we do not know, in particular, the specifics of what exactly was in the documents and if the F.B.I. was able to find all of what they needed.

And something tells me this is only the top of the iceberg. I believe in the upcoming days and weeks, more sordid stuff will be coming to light. Right now, I’d venture to say we likely do not know the half of it. Sordidness and Trump walk hand in hand. One thing is certain. Trump is going down, and it can’t come fast enough.
