Take that, Bill Barr!

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Better three years late than never, we suppose. The Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee released a bipartisan report today which confirmed, without a doubt, that Russia helped Donald Trump win the 2016 presidential election. Trump and his goons will still refer to the Trump-Russia election scandal as a “hoax” – but this report could have timely consequences.

As we speak, Judge Reggie Walton is sitting on an unredacted copy of the Mueller Report, and attempting to determine whether there are legal grounds to release some or all of it to the public. The chief argument for its release is that Attorney General Bill Barr dishonestly redacted the report and lied to the public when he claimed that Mueller found no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.

This new Senate Intelligence Committee report makes a strong argument that Bill Barr was indeed attempting to mislead the public. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the judge use this Senate report as a legal rationale for publicly releasing the Mueller report. And while the Senate report itself may not get much airtime, the full Mueller report could end up having a major impact on the election.
