Dear Palmer Report readers,
We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.
In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

Whenever Donald Trump does something horrible, dangerous, or criminal, Republican Senator Susan Collins always says she’s “concerned” about his antics. Then she goes and votes with Trump anyway. This has raised the question of what it would take for Collins to actually get angry or try to draw the line.
Now we have our answer. Susan Collins is totally outraged today – not because of Donald Trump’s incompetent and dishonest handling of the coronavirus crisis, or Trump’s latest deranged press conference – but because Senate Democrats are refusing to pass Mitch McConnell’s corrupt slush fund for his wealthy cronies.
This is the latest reminder the Susan Collins is no different, and no less corrupt, than Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump. Collins is outraged because the Democrats aren’t willing to shove taxpayer money out the back door to her billionaire campaign donors. Susan Collins is a monster. Her 2020 Democratic opponent is Sara Gideon. You can follow Gideon here, or donate to Gideon’s campaign here.
