Susan Collins is having a pretty terrible morning

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When Republican Senator Susan Collins voted to acquit an obviously guilty Donald Trump, she insisted that Trump had learned his lesson about using the presidency to commit crimes. Since that time Trump’s crime spree has grown far uglier, and last night he topped it all off by commuting the prison sentence of his criminal co-conspirator Roger Stone.

Susan Collins seems to have nothing to say for herself today, but others are saying plenty. Her pinned tweet, which has nothing to do with Trump or Stone, has received just 327 likes and 5,100 negative comments. Her tweet underneath that has received 235 likes and 2,600 negative comments. These are the kinds of ugly ratios you only see when someone is getting rejected across the board.

Let’s make sure that Susan Collins loses her reelection bid in November by the same kind of ratio she’s seeing in her tweets right now. You can learn more about Collins’ Democratic challenger Sara Gideon here.
