Susan Collins completely jumps the shark

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Susan Collins is concerned. Or at least that is what the concerned Senator told reporters. Susan Collins (Concerned, insurrection party, Maine) is saying she will not vote for Democratic legislation that would guarantee the right of any woman to have an abortion.

The reason Susan gave for her opposition is that there are not enough protections in the legislation — for the ANTI-ABORTION health providers. “It doesn’t protect the right of a Catholic hospital not to perform abortions,”: the concerned Senator declared, concernedly.

Oh Maine, sweet Maine — you do have my sympathies. This woman claim she is pro-choice? That is rather funny in a dark way because I’ve yet to see one iota of proof that she cares a damn about a woman’s right to choose.

Collins has a brain that appears concerned, but it isn’t. Her brain is a clever and manipulative machine that doesn’t make any decision unless something’s in it for her.

Her “concern” is a mirage, as fake as her carefully scripted and fake personality. How I wish Susie had lost her last election! But since she didn’t, we are stuck with her for the foreseeable future.

That is no reason to trust her, though. She is not the sunny independent thinker she’d have us believe she is. Under all that fake and frothy concern that oozes from her, all Collins is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitch McConnell. And that is all she will ever be.
