Donald Trump has been stunned into silence
Donald Trump’s life is being dismantled today, in real time, on live national television. Two State Department veterans are methodically spelling out the details of Trump’s international crime spree. Trump’s House GOP allies have been completely unable to push back in any meaningful fashion.
These hearings are rapidly sucking what little life is left out of Donald Trump’s presidency. The average nonpartisan American, who is undecided on impeachment, is going to watch today’s hearing – and even more damning hearings in upcoming days – and is going to come away with the unmistakable conclusion that Trump is as guilty as they come.
Not only is Trump’s presidency being dismantled for all to see right now, the rapidly dropping odds of his reelection come with the reality that he’ll be arrested by New York State the minute he’s no longer in office. So these hearings aren’t just harming Trump politically, they’re marching him closer to a prison cell in solitary confinement for the rest of his life.
What does Donald Trump have to say for himself? Nothing. We know the fragile narcissist is watching. And yet, apart from some retweets of whatever his sycophants are babbling about, Trump hasn’t tweeted anything since the hearings started five hours ago. He doesn’t appear to have any idea how to fight back against what’s happening to him right now. Trump has been, for now at least, stunned into silence.
