Donald Trump has been stunned into silence

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It’s been more than forty-eight hours since the release of Mary Trump’s tell all book about Donald Trump. It’s been more than two hours since Mary Trump went on the Rachel Maddow show and said she’s heard Donald Trump using the N-word and making antisemitic remarks.

Donald Trump still hasn’t said a word. We know he’s not simply ignoring his niece; after all, he and his family sent their lawyers into court to try to block her book from getting published. Yet for all the damning allegations that Mary Trump has made in her book and in this TV interview, Donald hasn’t dared to attack her or dispute any of it.

Something about all this has Donald Trump spooked. Perhaps he’s afraid that if he pushes back against Mary Trump, she’ll reach even further into the vault and pull out even more dirt on him. Or maybe the book is just so humiliating for Donald, he’s simply been stunned into embarrassed silence.

For all we know, Donald Trump might start ranting about Mary Trump first thing tomorrow morning. But even if so, the delay in his response – particularly since he’s known for weeks that he book was coming – speaks volumes. Donald Trump has no idea how to properly push back against Mary, either because she’s got him by the you know whats, or because he’s simply too far gone to figure out how to push back.
