Donald Trump may have temporarily taken the nation’s focus off the death of Jeffrey Epstein, as he’s been busy tanking the economy while declaring himself the messiah. But the Epstein scandal isn’t going away, and now it’s taken yet another strange new twist that’s made the whole thing even more controversial.

After Jeffrey Epstein died of what the authorities referred to as an “apparent suicide,” questions began arising about how a guy could manage to kill himself while he was on suicide watch. It was shortly thereafter leaked that Epstein had been taken off suicide watch, and that his attorneys had supposedly been behind the move.

The trouble of course is that because Donald Trump’s corrupt Attorney General Bill Barr has a thinly veiled penchant for leaking things to the media while insisting that he be listed as a “source close to the matter,” for all we know, these leaks could have come from Barr himself, and there was no way of knowing whether they were factual.

Now Bill Barr’s Department of Justice is asserting that Jeffrey Epstein was taken off suicide watch after he was cleared by a “doctoral-level psychologist,” according to NBC News. Wait a minute here, that wasn’t the original story. Did Epstein’s lawyers take him off suicide watch, or did a prison doctor?

There’s still every reason to think this was very likely a suicide. It’s just that at every turn, Bill Barr has preemptively treated Jeffrey Epstein’s death as if it were a scandal that he needed to cover up on Donald Trump’s behalf. Barr’s behavior just keeps getting more suspicious – but don’t worry, the truth will come out eventually, whatever it may be.
