For a moment there, it appeared that Donald Trump’s corrupt Attorney General Bill Barr might have – if only temporarily – gotten him and his people off the hook in the Stormy Daniels hush money scandal. The Feds at the SDNY abruptly announced that there would be no further charges in the scandal at this time, and the whole thing seemed to fade away. But not anymore.

Earlier today we all learned that the House Judiciary Committee is planning to hold hearings about the scandal next month. Not only will House Democrats use the hearings to expose Donald Trump’s criminal role in the scandal, they’ll also focus in on exposing whatever Bill Barr did to get the SDNY to stand down – which will likely add up to felony obstruction of justice on his part. Criminal charges against Trump and Barr won’t come until they’re out of office, but these hearings will play a key role in their downfall. Enter Stormy Daniels.

After debate broke out on Twitter as to whether Stormy Daniels will be one of the witnesses called to testify in the hearings, one troll baselessly asserted that she’ll somehow perjure herself. Daniels responded with this: “I have no fear of being under oath because I have have been and will be honest. Bring it!”

Congressman Jamie Raskin, who sits on the committee, appeared on the Lawrence O’Donnell show on MSNBC tonight. He strongly hinted that the witness will include David Pecker, Karen McDougal, and yes, Stormy Daniels. There may also be some witnesses testifying who would rather not be there. The key here is that because this criminal scandal took place before the election, Donald Trump can’t even try to inappropriately invoke executive privilege. That means it should be far easier to legally compel Trump’s allies to testify against him.
