Steve Schmidt just made Donald Trump regret going at him
When anti-Trump republican Steve Schmidt recently condemned John Bolton, it was because Bolton failed to protect America from Donald Trump’s crimes. Trump tried to seize on this by insisting that he agreed with Schmidt’s out-of-context words about Bolton. But Schmidt ended up making Trump regret it.
It all started when Trump tweeted this today: “Wow, I finally agree with failed political consultant Steve Schmidt, who called Wacko John Bolton ‘a despicable man who failed in his duty to protect America.’ Also stated that he should never be allowed to serve in government again. So true!”
But Schmidt quickly put Trump in his place:
He failed in his duty to protect America from you. The most failed President in American history. You are incompetent and inept. You are amoral and indecent. You are losing this election. You will be defeated and repudiated. Your legacy is death, weakness and economic collapse https://t.co/hwFK5ThKTM

Then Steve Schmidt decided to pile on:
.@realDonaldTrump I’m reading poll numbers this morning. Wow, you are losing-big time. You are the only American president who has ever been laughed at and mocked by other leaders. They think you are a fool and a clown. They are of course right. #WorstPresidentInHistory. https://t.co/hwFK5ThKTM
