Steve Mnuchin’s own wife Louise Linton comes out against him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin has enough problems on his hands, including the fact that the felony obstruction of justice he keeps committing on Donald Trump’s behalf is going to land him a nice long prison sentence if Trump loses the election. Now Mnuchin has a rather different kind of problem: his own wife Louise Linton just publicly came out against him.

This past week, Steve Mnuchin launched a disgusting and frankly psychotic attack on teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg. Apparently Mnuchin thought that viciously attacking a young girl would score him points with Donald Trump, and maybe land him that magic pardon that his life now depends on. But apparently this kind of behavior doesn’t fly with Mnuchin’s wife. Multiple major news outlets captured Louise Linton posting this to Instagram:

Notably, Linton included both Thunberg and her husband in her post, to erase any doubt about what she was referring to. Less than an hour later, Linton deleted the post, but it’s obviously been captured for posterity. We really couldn’t care less about whatever is going on in the Mnuchin-Linton marriage behind the scenes. But it’s clear that Steve Mnuchin has a problem here, because this Instagram post – short lived as it may have been – serves to severely undermine his message and agenda.
