Stephen Miller crashes and burns

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Most of Donald Trump’s political advisers have been fired, compelled to resign, humiliated, sent to prison, or otherwise ruined. Surely they regret having joined Trump’s evil foray into politics to begin with. Then there’s Stephen Miller, who still seems to be getting his white supremacist way when it comes to Trump regime policy.

So why on earth would Stephen Miller, the only one who’s having a good go of it right now, do something as bizarre as sit down for an interview with the Washington Post? He had to know he’d end up coming off looking terrible. The Post was obviously going to interview the people around him, who all hate him, whether he participated in the piece or not. Why would Miller bother to give the article credibility by going on the record?

Maybe it was one of those deals where Miller felt he’d come off looking even worse if he didn’t participate in the article. Either way, it’s been published, and suffice it to say that the whole thing leaves so much egg on his face, we’re not even sure that’s still him under all that egg.

Stephen Miller’s current and former colleagues paint him as someone who doesn’t understand how immigration policy works to begin with – and that’s coming from some people who agree with his overall immigration views. In other words, Miller is painted as someone who’s too arrogantly clueless to figure out how to fully get his way, even though he’s in the driver’s seat. If you can stomach the Post article, it’s an enlightening read.
