Donald Trump releases new statement which reveals how scared he is

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even as Donald Trump is in the process of being impeached for the second time, and twenty thousand National Guard troops are moving into Washington DC ahead of the inauguration, Trump has released a new statement. Though brief and generic, it gives away a lot about where his head is.

Here’s the Trump statement: “In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be NO violence, NO lawbreaking and NO vandalism of any kind. That is not what I stand for, and it is not what America stands for. I call on ALL Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers. Thank you.”

We know that Trump didn’t write this and doesn’t mean a word of it, but he did sign off on its release. This means he’s scared. In the past week he’s lost three banks, his Twitter account, a major golf tournament, and several key allies. He’s also under criminal investigation by the DC Attorney General for inciting violence. Trump is facing bankruptcy and prison, and he’s hoping that this weak statement will somehow save him. It won’t.
