Joe Biden issues statement as he pulls ahead
Earlier this morning Joe Biden pulled ahead in Wisconsin and Michigan, as the mail-in ballots were finally counted. In our view Biden is the apparent winner in Wisconsin and the very likely winner in Michigan. If his lead in Nevada also holds up, he’ll be President, whether or not he wins Pennsylvania or Georgia.
Minutes ago Joe Biden posted this statement on Facebook:
This is notable for a few reasons. First, Joe Biden is stating that he’ll flip at least three states. Thus far the only state he’s officially flipped is Arizona (called by Associated Press and Fox News). So Biden appears to be confirming that he’s going to win Wisconsin and Michighan.
In addition, Joe Biden appears to be emphasizing the fact that he’s on track to win a solid majority of the popular vote, and to receive a historically large number of votes.
