Sound the alarm in Texas

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The roads lay silently before them. And as cars whizzed by on these roads, Republican men, squinted, looking carefully into the cars as they flew by, to try to figure out what destination these vehicles were heading to.

Could it be an abortion clinic? Because that would be illegal. At least, if certain Republicans in the state of Texas get their way it will be illegal.

The state of Texas has done it again. Not content with the Texas bounty law, some Republicans are seemingly staying up all night, dreaming up new ways to punish women for the crime of — well — being women.

Interstate travel is the new thing in Texas — interstate ABORTION. Anti-choice Republicans, are working very hard to pass new legislation that would make it a crime to help a woman who is traveling to another state to get an abortion.

The woman in this case would be exempt, but not anyone else. People who dared show compassion to this woman would be breaking the law if these Texas handmade-loving Republicans get their way.

Already there is trouble for the GOP in that regard. A couple of Texas cities have passed on this great new idea (sarcasm) citing that this new legislation is way too much.

Ya think? Anti-choice Republicans are focused, particularly on highways near airports, and highways that cross into New Mexico, where abortion is still legal. This is what’s on their minds, day after day. How to control women, how to subjugate them, how to punish them.

How to make the Texas highways, roads less traveled — for pregnant women and anyone who cares about them. My heart really does go out to Texas, and other anti-choice states. And as I said many of time before, the women are not going to stand for this is because women have no desire to be handmaids of the Republican party

Women are a lot of things. Women are activists and wives and mothers and sisters and daughters and patriots and they are beautiful wildflowers but handmaids they are not. Time and time again, women have let it be known to Republicans to leave us alone, but Republicans cannot seem to stop themselves. And so we keep fighting on.
