Sorry, Donald Trump, too little too late

We've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

After Donald Trump posted a highly confusing “Invoking P” tweet today and left everyone confused as to whether he was invoking the Defense Production Act against General Motors, major news networks are now confirming that Trump has indeed done so. This is good news. It’s also inexcusably too little too late.

For weeks, Donald Trump has publicly insisted that he didn’t need to invoke the Defense Production Act because he was convincing major manufacturers to voluntarily produce emergency medical supplies. This was plainly untrue, and Trump has cost numerous Americans their lives by refusing to invoke the DPA. Now, after weeks of committing negligent homicide, he’s finally doing it. But it’s still not clear how far he’s willing to take this, or what kind of impact it’ll belatedly have.

Donald Trump is trying to be conciliatory across the board today. He’s praising Rachel Maddow. He’s lambasting House Republican Thomas Massie for trying to get in the way of the bipartisan relief bill. But Trump deserves no credit for this, because it’s negligently, fatally late – and it’s far too little. For that matter, Trump will be back to his dangerously deranged self within days, if not hours.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
