Something’s up with Lindsey Graham

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

This evening, Democratic candidate Jaime Harrison announced that he and the moderators had all agreed to take coronavirus tests ahead of the next debate, and Harrison called on his opponent Lindsey Graham to do the same. Graham responded by releasing a bizarre eight paragraph statement that’s borderline incoherent.

Graham insisted that he doesn’t need to get tested for coronavirus, and basically insisted that no one anywhere needs to get tested. Graham also then suggested that he’s going to show up for the debate no matter what, and that Jaime Harrison is welcome to not show up.

It’s unclear why Graham thinks this is going to work out for him, considering the moderators appear to be on Harrison’s side. But his childlike press release aside, the real story here is that Graham is panicking. He’s either afraid to get tested for coronavirus because he thinks he might have it, or he’s using the testing thing as an excuse to dodge the debate because he performed so poorly in the previous debate.

Either way, it’s clear that Lindsey Graham is spiraling right now. Just when did he have his last contact with Donald Trump and/or anyone who attended the White House coronavirus super spreader event?
