Something doesn’t add up about RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel’s coronavirus test

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

This weekend we all learned that RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel fell ill on Friday and was tested for the coronavirus, because she’d potentially been exposed to it at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago party. Since that time, we’ve seen Donald Trump dubiously announce that he’s tested negative, and we’ve also seen a self-quarantined Lindsey Graham announce that he’s tested negative.

So where’s the test result for Ronna McDaniel? It’s been nearly seventy-two hours, and the test results are only supposed to take a day or two. She’s spent the past few days continuing to tweet pro-Trump propaganda, while dishonestly attacking Joe Biden. But shouldn’t there have been a test result by now? We can debate about whether a political figure like her has an ethical responsibility to disclose their test result.

But the reality is that she publicly announced she was being tested, and then the New York Times reported that Team Trump was pissed off at her for having dared to reveal she was ill, and now we’re hearing nothing about her test result. Something doesn’t add up here.
