Some Fox News employees are rebelling from within
The poisonous toxins that Fox non-news spreads regularly are being noticed by an interesting group — their own workers. Some Fox Corp employees have spoken out against some of the disgusting coverage of LGBTQ+ people by Fox non-News pundits.
Fox Pride is the group that LGBTQ+ workers at Fox use as a resource. And they have spoken out. This was done through internal messaging. The workers utilized “Slack.” For those who do not know what Slack is –, it’s a method of communication in the workplace used online.
Many companies use it, and I, too, have used it. It allows people in said companies to message and chat with each other. They had some strong words. Here is what the message said: “Fox Pride denounces statements made regarding sexual orientation and gender identity on FOX news in the past week.”
The statement was written on April 5.
One Fox insider had this to say to the Daily Beast:
“Internally, the company values diversity.”
“They invest in it and foster it from a management perspective.”
“The on-air Fox News product, however, spits in the face of it.”
Good for the workers! And I agree that many from Fox do a great deal of harm with their hate campaigns.
Think about it. In the early years of the Twentieth Century, America and Europe were besieged by poison pen attacks. Poison Pen letters and campaigns are anonymous campaigns of hate done in secret, meant to tarnish someone’s good name. And way back when, the poison pen victimized many.
But what we have now is not really so different. So many are the victims of the hate that drips nightly from the mouths of Fox pundits. I imagine folks like Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham would have reveled in the beautiful malice of the poison pen. Why wouldn’t they? Their television campaigns of hate are really no different.
