Social Security Administration is in total chaos right now

You know how it is when you try to get through to some bureaucratic agency. Take, for example, your healthcare service. Or your TV company. Or perhaps your internet carrier. You likely get something like this:
“To pay your bill, please press one!”
“To cancel service press two!”
To contact….”
On and on, it goes with “live person”: of course, usually being the last option. This is because most of these agencies do not want to talk to their live subscribers. In a virtual wonderland of automation, making human contact with anyone is becoming increasingly complex, and that’s just not right.
It may be about to get worse for social security recipients. Democrat Martin O’Malley, who happens to be the former commissioner of the Social Security Administration, says that Elon Musk’s DOGE layoffs might seriously impact administering benefits. The agency is reportedly in turmoil.
They were understaffed BEFORE. The more people President Musk lays off, the more difficult it will be to get through, to get beyond some endless robot voice and connect with an actual human being. An article recently remarked on this, saying their website crashed four times in 10 days! It’s because they were overloaded.
We saw something like this during and after COVID-19. At the time, THAT interruption made sense. Quarantines were happening, and many were working from their homes, but THIS is different. This is solely Elon Musk and Donald Trump’s fault.
“In the field, office managers have resorted to answering phones at the front desk.” This is shocking, but not surprising. Chaos and disorganization seem to nip at Elon’ s heels. One has to realize that Elon Musk does not care about the common person.
He’s never had to worry about stuff like this. There’s a curtain around him, insulating him, protecting him against — empathy. He’s the worst example of humanity — one who is in the top one percent but does not appear to care about the other 99 percent.
