So who’s been selling out Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

This new filing from the DOJ makes clear that Trump attorney Christina Bobb is in serious legal jeopardy with regard to obstruction of justice. But someone has been throwing her to the wolves in the media for weeks, pushing her out front, identifying her as the “custodian” of the classified documents, and making her the face of this mess. Somebody has been selling her out. So who’s been doing this, and why?

It’s theoretically possible the DOJ has been feeding Bobb’s involvement to the media, to make her realize that it has her nailed, and to pressure her to cooperate. But is that really this DOJ’s style? It’s still difficult to figure out what this normally secretive DOJ is or is not willing to strategically feed to the media.

It’s also theoretically possible someone else on Trump’s team has been pushing Bobb out front in the media, figuring she’s toast anyway, in the hope that she ends up being the only one on Trump’s team that goes down for this. Who would that be? Who knows?

If this has been coming from Team Trump, it would be a dumb strategy. Making Bobb the public face of this coverup can only increase the odds of her flipping. And if she flips, everyone goes down. Then again, Team Trump never has had any shortage of selfish, shortsighted, disloyal, dumb strategies.
