So this is where Trump thinks his base went
The major media outlets at and around the courthouse have repeatedly confirmed that only a small handful of Trump supporters have shown up to protest at Trump’s trial each day. On Thursday the number of Trump supporters was reportedly all the way down to one.
It’s got to be difficult for a defeated, broken down, and cognitively confused Trump to show up to the courthouse every day and see virtually no supporters turning out for him, even after he’s repeatedly tried to convince them to do so.
Today Trump posted this on social media: “I’m at the heavily guarded Courthouse. Security is that of Fort Knox, all so that MAGA will not be able to attend this trial, presided over by a highly conflicted pawn of the Democrat Party. It is a sight to behold!”
So there you have it. Trump’s handlers are now trying to avoid hurting his feelings by telling him that courthouse security is the only reason his supporters haven’t turned out in spades. Trump is now so fragile he needs to be coddled like this. He’s that far gone. It’s just embarrassing.
