So that was a complete disaster
Donald Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention was a horrible display of insanity, cognitive decline, and hubris. Never have I ever seen anything like what transpired at the RNC convention. Trump hobbled onto the stage somewhere around 10:30 PM. Then he began to talk — and talk — and talk.
One thing that has pissed me off lately is people picking on President Biden’s voice which they say is too soft. Well, I ask these people — did you listen to the mummy on stage on Thursday? Trump’ ‘s voice was the kind of thing that leave audiences covering their faces in utter horror.
Trump’s voice was without ANY inflection. He sounded like the love child of boredom and sleepiness. I do think we’ve discovered a new cure for insomniacs. That cure is Donald Trump’s voice.
It went on for around 90 minutes, saying little, once again bringing up his imaginary friend Hannibal Lecter, once again losing his train of thought over and over, once again calling immigrants invaders.
Never have I ever seen anything like the crass, dull, rambling, inconsequential words that, for a brief time (not brief enough), poured from Donald Trump’s lips.
This writer nearly fell asleep. Seriously. As I watched (and I only watched to report on it), I noticed my eyes were fluttering, and a sense of drowsiness was beginning to sweep over me. And still, that horrible muted mumble would not end.
Never have I ever wanted a speech to end so very much. I was losing track of time. I was listening to a presidential candidate that is so beatable, my friends, so utterly beatable; it’s pathetic.
Never have I seen such a loser. Donald Trump’s speech was so absurd that reportedly, audience members began to exit before the speech was even over.
Never have I ever seen anything like the media. Believe it, or not, many of them actually ADMITTED the speech sucked; well, they had to, hadn’t they? Anything else would have been journalistic malpractice, and they’ve already engaged on THAT enough this week.
I have never been so puzzled by what even one person would see in this man. Trump, likes to talk about snakes and lions. He is not either. Instead, he was a VERY subdued, VERY lackluster turtle, a term I usually reserve for Moscow Mitch but which fits here because like a turtle, the slow pace was something to see.
But make no mistake, Trump was a turtle because he refused to leave the stage,
I would not have been surprised to hear “get off the stage” rise as a chant. Even my TV itself looked bored, and that’s saying something.
What did the traitor talk about? Beats me. Invasions. . Lecter wanting to have you over for dinner. Rambling cries how the 2020 election was stolen. It was such a missed opportunity for him, such a disaster that I have concluded that not only is Trump not very bright, but his campaign team is even worse.
