So much for the hoax
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have been publicly pressuring Donald Trump to have flags lowered to mark the tragic arrival of the 100,000 coronavirus death toll in the United States. Trump has now finally caved:
I will be lowering the flags on all Federal Buildings and National Monuments to half-staff over the next three days in memory of the Americans we have lost to the CoronaVirus. On Monday, the flags will be at half-staff in honor of the men and women in our Military who have made the Ultimate Sacrifice for our Nation.
That’s all well and good, but we all know that Donald Trump is only reluctantly doing this because the Democrats pushed him into it. Trump has done far too little to acknowledge the worsening death toll and the human tragedy involved in this crisis. So much for it being a hoax.
