So much for THAT narrative
Slowly and smoothly, like a paddle boat gliding forward, Donald Trump’s Jury selection is flowing into place. At the time of this writing, SIX jurors have been seated. That is a remarkably efficient pace, much as the media would like to convince us otherwise.
I say these words because many in the media, in recent days, have found a new lament — WHAT IF A FAIR JURY CAN T BE FOUND? Sigh. I wish some of these pundits would get on to stories that mean something and have a basis in reality. The fact that six jurors were seated on what is only the second day of trial is a remarkable feat.
These Jurors have also been asked to return to court next Monday (although the Judge did caution that that could change). But you know what this means, of course. It looks like all systems go. The trial commenced as scheduled. The Jury is being seated. Contrary to so many doom and gloom pundits (Not at Palmer Report), everything is going as it should be.
Some delusional pundits predicted it could take weeks or MONTHS to pick a jury. That does not appear to be the case. Let’s not forget, the notion that Trump couldn’t receive a fair trial in New York was always a myth. A fair trial is always possible. Remember, Trump’s juries indicted him in Florida and Georgia, further proving the fairness of the process.
Looking ahead, the trial will continue on Thursday, and it’s possible, actually probable that more jurors will be added. This suggests that the jury selection process could potentially be concluded by the end of the week, a prospect that will surely keep Donald Trump up at night.
