So much for that doom and gloom narrative

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

In politics, we often talk about the “October surprise.” Often an October surprise of some sort rears its ugly (and in some cases delightful) head during the month of October. But what about other months? It does appear we’re looking at a “July surprise.”

And that July Surprise is — falling gas prices. Good news for the Democrats. That’s right. Gas prices have fallen and are falling. And many are predicting these prices will fall even more in coming weeks — perhaps as low as below $4. Bad news for Republicans.

Analysts are excitedly talking about the falling prices — which started about three weeks ago and have been falling more and more with each passing week. Glum-faced Republicans. THOUSANDS of gas stations could see gas below $4 per gallon soon, in the upcoming weeks, said one analyst.

Republicans panicked. On average, gas prices have already dropped to $4.77 for regular-grade fuel. Republicans are in disarray. This is from the Energy Information Administration. This is the third week of decline in gas prices. Republicans are losing their minds.

So what will the Republicans run on? Their whole platform is high gas prices. Have you heard anything else from them? I suppose they still have Hunter Biden. That’s it. I can’t think of one other thing in their empty bag. Let’s make it a NOVEMBER surprise. Let’s shock the media, the pundits, the GOP, everyone — by winning it all.
